Hamilton
Jet Boat By Ryan |
|
| The jet boat was invented by Sir William
Hamilton in the 1954. The drive blows out the water and thrusts the boat
forward. Most boats are equipped with v8 jet engines
(generally 370 hp). The gear shift is seen below (the long
aluminium pole that moves the drive shaft ) which changes gear. In
reverse the cover will fall down on top of the drive with the water
coming out and will make the boat move backwards. When moving
forwards the drive shaft will be up. The whole jet unit is almost
like a powerful hose that moves when triggered. Some interiors have
Morse GT steering wheels and accessories and most Hamilton jet boats have a
gear lever and a accelerator. |
