| Bonfire night is also called Guy Fawke's night. It is in remembrance of Guy Fawkes. Bonfire night is an annual festival that we have on November 5th. We celebrate the night when, in 1605, Guy Fawkes was planning to blow up the Houses of Parliament, but failed! We celebrate it by having big bonfires and by setting off fireworks, this reminds us of Guy Fawkes because he used gunpowder to try and blow up the king. |
